weekender

so for this past christmas i wanted to get phil a casual watch. i saw that j crew had some nice timex watches but for a casual watch, it was so out of my budget. luckily i saw that target also sold a timex watch called the weekender that was the same look as the j crew one but for a quarter of the price. thank you target. so i ordered one for phil. it did not come in time for christmas so i went to the store to buy one because he had to have it to open on christmas day. my plan was to just return the first watch once it came in.

turns out i did too. so i kept the one i was planning on returning.

you can only imagine how happy the husband was at the idea of us having matching watches! what, you don't coordinate with your hubby all the time? matching shirts? no?  we sure don't. we are far from being that couple.

once again, the timex weekender rocks because they sell lots of other cool colored straps at target. i got the husband a new blue strap so we weren't twins anymore. pretty sure he appreciated that small gesture. i kept the orange/grey one for myself because as you may have picked up on, i love grey! though i did just get myself a pink strap too. it's fun to change out. i feel like i have a new watch each time.

so there you have it. i love my weekender mans watch.

i am pretty sure caroline will be shopping this line for some trendy pieces. you know the girl has got a style of her own.

springy spring time

i was at target on my lunch break today getting sweet cheeks a birthday present. tomorrow she turns 6! i am not sure how that is possible since i just had her yesterday. where has the time gone? i can't believe it.

i have a new favorite shirt. it's a 3/4 sleeve tee from target. i love the gray and white stripes. can't be the price either, $14.99.

i am tempted to go back and buy it in blue as well.

sweet cheeks and chuck

due to a cold, sweet cheeks had to go to the doctor last week. (side note- that cold is still lingering! poor sweet cheeks has had a cough, congestion, and stuffy nose for 2 weeks now) as a reward for being such an amazing patient for her doctor, her daddy took her to target for a prize. she picked her first pair of pink high-top converse. holy taco are these shoes the cutest thing ever on her. i absolutely adore her in them.

sweet cheeks is also so darn close to tying her own shoelaces now. so close!



she went with a pink theme in her attire. this tank is one of her personal favorites. no denying it is because it has the word "lipgloss" on it. such a girl.


my chucks meet her chucks


our local farmers market happens every wednesday. the good thing is that it takes place in the parking lot next to sweet cheek's school, so either the husband or i take her every week. her favorite thing to get is homemade jelly. her absolutely most favorite thing to get is a nutella crepe. it is so yummy!
