i am back to blogging

i've been away for far too long!

the holidays and many sicknesses have definitely kept me busy but as always, i am just going to pick up as if i've never been gone.

the zoo. we are members. we love to go!

this past visit we really just skipped the animals and mainly did the park, train, and rock wall. caroline is so brave and has no fear! that makes me pretty proud as a parent. i am sure everyone knows she gets her thrill-seeking gene from phil.

and if there is ever any question about just how good caroline is with hadley, and if she enjoys being a big sister, the last two pictures will give you an answer.

family trip to the zoo!

i think hadley enjoyed her first trip ever to the atlanta zoo. though she will experience many more since we are members and absolutely love to go.

we spent a good 4 hours there last sunday. caroline and hadley both had a terrific time and we were all completely exhausted when we left.

no descriptions needed. just enjoy our trip to the zoo as seen through pictures of, well, us! good times, right.

wordless wednesday

don't you monkey with the monkey

on sunday, the husband and i took sweet cheeks and her cousin to the zoo for the morning. we all love the zoo and go at least once a month. we were hoping to see the new baby giraffe but we were about 3 weeks too early. i should have read the zoo update that the mom and baby aren't out in the watching area yet.

one of our favorite animals to see is the meerkat. he was kind enough to pose for me.

the girls love to get stamps at the panda exhibit and many of them. they totally didn't even go see the pandas, instead they went straight to the exit for the stamps. where's the love?

he was having a leisurely morning. we may have even woke him from a nap.

sweet cheeks had a great visit on sunday to the zoo. we went with some friends of ours and their twin boys. we invited our friends to go with us, and they in turn got us into the zoo...for free. how great is that! they are members and had passes for us. doesn't get any better than that. thanks friends. in the end, the day was great, though full of tantrums and time-outs.

as the boys got onto the bench, sweet cheeks slowly slid herself to the other end of it. her actions spoke louder than her words, right boys.


she actually played along with them on the playground. here they are being spiderboy and spidergirl.

these are my new favorite pants. i easily fall in love with a pant that can make my legs feel long and make me feel slender! they must be magic.

these are lightweight striped hip slung pants from the gap. love them.
