spring into sandals

though my toes are not ready for sandals, the rest of me is. hello sunshine! goodbye boots!
i know the girls absolutely love spring/summer because it means they can put their socks away. we all love sandals and flip flops. they are just so easy!

here are a few i am loving for myself from nordstrom right now that are all under $50:

zigi girl abbie sandal

 kate spade fiji flip flop

and two in the nowhere close to $50 but a girl can dream category:

(that tory! she knows my style so well, just wish she knew my budget!)

again with the feet

i am on the hunt again for shoes for hadley.

i just can't seem to find anything in a hard sole that stays on well, doesn't give her blisters, and isn't just another pair of stride rites. her robeez and smaller shoes by see kai run are just too soft-soled now that she is playing on a playground covered in mulch. her slip-on vans & converse fall off her feet while she is walking.

so on my hunt i came across these shoes from keep. i think they are pretty adorable and i am a total fan of velcro w/ toddlers who are always on the go. the price isn' so bad either at $35.  i know they look a little on the boyish side but i still think a girl as stylish as hads can pull them off.

what do you think?

putting a foot down

i can't remember if i have mentioned livie & luca shoes here before. i don't think i have but they are definitely worth mentioning.

livie & luca

there. now check them out because they have some really adorable kids shoes.

when hadley hits her next shoe size, outgrowing her smaller shoes from see kai run, we'll definitely get a pair of these. then i can give you my own personal review of them. i do it all for the love of my blog. yes, that's why i buy hadley so many cute shoes. it's for the blog.

these red ones are my favorite of the girls

love these for boys.   i think this is a rare brand that the
boys shoes are  cuter than the girls

a soleful sound

super duper new love in our house for shoes.

squeaky shoes.

check out haddie gray walking last night in them. it took her a minute to realize the noise was coming from her own feet. once she figured it out, she was gone!

(please excuse my loud laughing. and enjoy caroline beckoning for haddie, or "cutie" as she kept referring to her)

the shoes are yochi yochi princess sakura in a size 6. all of the reviews i read said to order up two sizes, which was right on. they fit her size 4 foot perfectly.

a little for them, a little for me

i did a little online browsing over at kitson today.

here are some sweet finds for the girls (and for myself)

cute, colorful animal crayons for hadley in a few months
though caroline hasn't been to paris yet, i know she will one day. she's classy like that. 'not-for-parents: paris- everything you wanted to know' could teach her a thing or two about it before she becomes the world traveler

and look at this cute pocket doodle book for girls. the travel size makes it easy to take anywhere. caroline, the creative artist she is, bores quickly. this book just might occupy her a bit in the car or at restaurants
and not to forget me...
how awesome are these marc jacob shoes! they call them rubber shoes. you know they are so a jelly shoe. love them! the orange is my favorite, though green is cute too

summer soles

today is warm and spring-like.

makes my feet crave the freedom they find in sandals. the best part about spring and summer if you ask me.

here are some shoes i want to get the girls for spring from piperlime.

for caroline- sea swell from kenneth cole
for hads- adele from see kai run

stainless

someone is already wearing her new school shoes... before school has even started! we were never allowed to do that. and for good reason when it came to me and clothes. i was notorious for getting stains on mine and my sister's clothes. she loved me for that i'm sure. who wants to send their kids to school on the very first day in a shirt with a bit of sauce or ketchup on it. not this mom. that is exactly what would happen if sweet cheeks wore her new clothes before hand. she is an advocate for using her shirt as a napkin. somehow it is different for her to go to school the second week with stained clothes, right. at least the teachers know you started out with good intentions and clean clothes.

i am ok with her wearing her new shoes though, breaking them in i guess. they are a bit big on her but i think that is a good thing since it leaves room for her feet to grow.

both pairs of shoes from garnet hill are absolutely adorable on her. glad she loves them too.

sole sister

i am loving these shoes from morgan and milo.

woodstock mary jane in violet

ginger floral in clay

cute and i love the color, but i wonder how long it would take that little flower to distort?

i am also loving the song "hey, soul sister" by train-

shoes to fall in

sweet cheeks and i did a bit of fall shopping over the holiday weekend. one thing i knew i needed to get for her for fall was some new shoes. apparently when a kid grows, their feet do to! go figure. so we went to sears to check out their lands end kid shoes.

this is what we got for sweet cheeks-

if i had any patience, i would have held out for these though online. still might have to order them. unfortunately the selection of shoes at sears is not near as good as lands end online selection for style and sizing.

these are pretty cute as well.

i can totally see sweet cheeks in a mustard colored loafer! (i also love the inside of this shoe)
